Hi, I'm Eric Staubs — licensed Florida Residential Contractor, owner's rep, and founder of Private Eye Construction Services. 

With over three decades of leadership in high-end residential and commercial projects — including 15 years exclusive to Sanibel — I know where this island's builds break: permitting, seasonal labor, and the gap between what's promised and what shows up on-site. After Ian, I watched too many neighbors get burned by unreliable vendors, and I started this company to keep the local building industry honest.

Today I serve property owners and established contractors across Sanibel, Captiva, and the broader SWFL — providing project management and owner representation.

When I'm not on-site, you'll find me cycling with my wife or hiking the Rockies with the kids.
